The thing that instantly attracted me to my husband was one of the very first conversations we had was about identity in Christ. Both of us talked through our struggles with attempting to define ourselves through other things – grades, relationships, social media, jobs, even Christian ministry. All of which left us feeling empty, alone, and depressed. We then shared our stories of finding freedom in who Christ says we are and living out of that place of grace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both of us began our journeys to finding who we truly were through different Christian discipleship counselors. Since then, we continue to learn and grow through various resources including the Bible, Christian teaching (podcasts\/sermons\/conferences), discipleship, the Holy Spirit, prayer, and books. All of these resources can be valuable, but we have to be careful and check everything we learn from outside sources against the Bible and in prayer listening to the Holy Spirit to verify it is good and true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
